amazing things you didn't know about invisalign

If you are considering getting Invisalign in Yaletown to align your crooked teeth, you are not the only one. Invisalign is a popular orthodontic treatment that uses a series of clear, removable aligning trays to move your teeth into the correct positions gradually.

At Abba Dental, we are happy to offer our patients Invisalign. Read on to learn some more interesting facts about this innovative orthodontic treatment.

1. You Can Eat Whatever You Want

Unlike metal and ceramic braces, you won’t have to watch the foods you eat when you get Invisalign. You can remove your aligners before meals, eat whatever you would like, and insert your aligners when you are finished. Ensure you rinse your mouth before placing your aligners back over your teeth.

2. Maintaining Good Oral Hygiene is Easier

Not only can you remove your aligners to eat, but you can also take them out to floss and brush your teeth. With Invisalign near you, you can continue caring for your teeth the way you did before your treatment began. On the other hand, if you had braces, you would need to learn how to brush and floss around your brackets and wires.

3. The Aligners Are Essentially Invisible

True to its name, Invisalign uses truly clear aligners. This means that the aligners are almost impossible to see in your mouth. They are so hard to see that they are the go-to solution for celebrities to align their teeth but want to remain camera-ready at all times.

4. You Won’t Need to Visit Your Dental Office Often

When you get traditional metal braces, you must visit our dental clinic in Yaletown Vancouver, at least once a month to get your brackets and wires tightened, as this allows your teeth to move into alignment. Not only can scheduling appointments every month be a hassle, but tightening sessions can result in much pain and discomfort. Since Invisalign has a series of aligners that you can switch out on your own to move your teeth, you will only need to visit our dentist for a quick progress check once every six weeks.

5. Faster Treatment

If you want the quickest orthodontic treatment possible, speak to our dentist in Yaletown, Vancouver, about Invisalign. Since the aligners are made specifically for you, Invisalign treatment often takes less time than orthodontic treatments using one-size-fits-all wires and brackets.

6. Invisalign Can Address a Variety of Alignment Problems

Invisalign is versatile and can address many bite alignment problems, such as underbites, overbites, open bites, and crossbites. Don’t write off this treatment before you work with our dentist to determine if it can help align your smile.

We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe.

You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. For example:

- Our Office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you are in the office.

- We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office. You will also find hand sanitizer in reception area and other places in the office for you to use as needed.

- You may see that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, children’s toys and so forth, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect.

- We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.
